As we all know, Windows 10 has launched its free upgrade recently, and because of it, you might be getting annoying “Ads” on Windows Lock screen. For example, when you open the Start menu, you will see a suggested apps section, which is actually ads for the apps in the Windows Store. And the another place you’ll find these “suggestions” is on the Lock Screen. Here’s how to opt-out and turn them off.
Steps To Turn Off Windows 10 Lock Screen Ads:
Step 1: To get started, first you need to access your Windows 10 settings. Click Start and go to Settings.
Step 2: This will now display the Windows Settings Page as shown below. In this settings page, click on Personalization tab.
Step 3: Now under Personalization in the left pane, navigate to Lock Screen.
Step 4: A preview of your windows 10 lock screen will be displayed in the right pane. Under background drop down, choose either Picture or Slideshow in order to opt out of the ads.
Note: If the background option is set to Windows Spotlight then you may not be able to find the options to turn the ads off.
Step 5: Under Choose Your Picture section, there will be a toggle button. Toggle the Get Fun Facts button to off and exit the Settings Window.
That’s it. You have now successfully turned off the lock screen ads.
