Have you ever wanted to make a video or voice call through Skype but without creating an account? If yes is your answer, then you are on the right page. Here, I am going to explain the procedure to use Skype without an account.
Microsoft has recently released an update for Skype that will let anyone use Skype even without an account. Also, you don’t even have to download the Skype client to use it.
Because of this new Skype update, you can now use Skype as a guest user and chat with your friends or family, make a voice or video call, and transfer files, without creating a Microsoft account. And the best part about this new launch is that you can invite up to 300 members to your chat and up to 25 members to a group video or a voice call.
Note: This service is currently not available for the smartphone users.
Steps To Use Skype Without An Account:
Step 1: To get started, first open your web browser and visit skype.com
Step 2: In the homepage, you will see two options as shown in the screenshot below. Click “Start A Conversation” to begin the chat.
Step 3: Now you will be prompted to “Enter your Name.” Enter your name in the specified field and click “Start A Conversation” to begin your chat without signing up for Skype.
Step 4: It will start loading in a few seconds.
Step 5: Now you will be presented with a page where you can copy the link to the conversation. Click “Copy Link” to copy the link and share it with your friends who wish to join the conversation.
Step 6: Once you copied the link, you will be redirected to the conversation page where you can make video calls, start a group chat, make voice calls, and even share photos and files.
Note: You can also invite your friends through email with “Invite via email” link in the left pane.
Step 7: If you wish to leave the conversation after a chat or a call, click “Leave Conversation” which is located in the bottom left corner of the window.
That’s it. Now enjoy using your favorite Skype application without creating an account.
