It is a well known fact that Windows 10 is packed with amazing features. And one of that feature is that you can integrate your email under the Windows 10 App. If you already have your mail app configured in Windows 8, then while upgrading to Windows 10 all your email accounts in your Windows 8 Mail app will automatically get transferred to the new Windows 10 Mail App.
But if you are a user of Windows 7 OS, and have recently upgraded to Windows 10, you need to configure your mail app i.e., you will have to manually add your email account to the Mail app. Sounds confused? Don’t worry. Here is a simple workaround that could help you to configure your Windows 10 Mail app.
Steps To Add An Email Account To Windows 10 Mail App:
Step 1: To get started, you need to open the Windows 10 Mail App. To do that, click Start in your Windows Task Bar and select Mail App from the list of apps.
Alternatively, you can also press Win key on your keyboard and select the Mail App from the list.
Step 2: Now the Windows 10 Mail App will open up and you will see its Welcome Screen. Click on “Get Started” button.
Step 3: In the next screen, select “Add Account” button and once done, you will be prompted to choose an account.
Step 4: You can add any email service of your choice. Here I am choosing “Google” since I am going to add a Gmail Account to the Mail Box.
Step 5: Next, enter your Email Login Credentials in the pop-up, and select “Sign In” to sign in to your account.
Step 6: Before signing in, you will be prompted to allow app permissions. Click “Allow” to allow permissions to the app.
Step 7: Once you have successfully added your Email Account, you will see the screen shown below. Click “Done“.
Step 8: The next screen will let you add another account. If you wish to add another account, click “Add Account” again and follow all the steps given above or just click on “Ready to Go” to get into your account’s Inbox.
That’s it. You have successfully finished adding your Email Account to the Windows 10 Mail App now. You can add as many emails as you wish by selecting Settings -> Manage Accounts -> Add Account directly from your Inbox.
