How to Turn WordPress into Mobile App?
I know you are not a web developer who codes well in a dazzling speed. Coding is the primary skill one needs in order to build a mobile app. As you are a novice in coding, we need to look for another method. I have searched a lot for such a method. But most of them needs money to start the app building process. Finally, I got a method to turn WordPress into mobile app.
Follow the steps I am going to mention below to have a mobile app of your website without sweating much.
Method 1: Turn WordPress into Mobile App
Step 1: Make sure your WordPress website has a mobile friendly design. If it hasn’t, just download WPTouch plugin from WordPress repository or your WP dashboard. It will help you make a mobile version of your theme.
Step 2: Here, we are going to use a third- party tool called Worona. You don’t have to install any software onto your computer, though. Instead, we have to download a WP plugin. You know how to download a WP plugin, right? Go to Plugins>> New and search for the plugin Worona. Click Install without hesitation. And, finally activate the plugin.
You can download the zip file of Worona plugin from wordpress.org and upload it into your blog.
Step 3: Go to the Plugin setup page. Fill all the information like website URL correctly into the given form. You will see a download app code button. Use it to export code locally.
Step 4: Go to Corona Lab’s website to download their SDK. Import the app code into their user interface. As a result, it will give you an end product in the form of an app.
You can then upload the same into any app store you want.
Method 2: IdeaPress
The first plugin in this list is IdeaPress using which you can build a mobile version of your website without doing much work. You only have to install a plugin on your website and activate the same.
The building process takes place via their website after you log in to you account. The purpose of plugin installation is to connect the app builder on their website with your blog via a JSON API.
A lot of customization options are available on the website like colour selection, menu creation and altering etc.
You can also preview the changes you make real time to check whether it is good or not.
Method 3: Mobiloud
The next item in this list of plugins to turn WordPress to mobile app is Mobiloud. Just like the previous plugin, this one also is a paid one that will not rip off your pocket for sure.
Unfortunately you will not get the HTML 5 app version with this plugin.
It costs around $960 per year. So consider creating the mobile version of your website only after getting a stable income from it (if not necessary).
That’s all. I hope you now know how to turn WordPress into mobile app, don’t you?
